The words in the interrogation: “An animal attack” • Denies
A well-known Swedish rapper allegedly ran up to a man in town and knocked him down.
– I have never experienced anything like this. It was an attack of madness, says the man in questioning.
The rapper denies the assault.
The incident took place during a party night in November last year. Two men were going from one bar to another when they passed another man in central Stockholm.
The man they passed is a well-known Swedish rapper, who has previously been convicted of a series of violent and drug crimes and spent periods in prison. According to the partying men, he must have said something that they did not quite understand.
The rapper is said to have suddenly run after them and attacked one from behind, according to interrogation. He then allegedly punched him.
– It was an almost animal attack that came out of nowhere. It was completely unprovoked and extremely violent, says the attacked man in questioning.
In pictures from the preliminary investigation, taken during the evening, the man has a jacket in his eyebrow and his face is bloody. It is later established that he suffered a concussion.
Arrested nearby – under the influence of drugs
Police arrested the rapper a few blocks away.
“On the back of the man’s right hand, the undersigned sees that there is some red dried contamination that the undersigned perceives as resembling blood. The undersigned also notes that the man has some red dried contamination on his right shoe that also resembles blood,” a police report states.
The report also shows that the rapper was slurred in his speech and body language and had glossy eyes. The man later tested positive for amphetamine.
The rapper: “Like an animal at the zoo”
In a later interrogation, the rapper has a completely different picture of the incident. He believes that the men recognized him and started calling for him. He says it happens often, especially when people are drunk. The rapper and the plaintiff had started wrestling and landed on the icy pavement, hence the injuries.
– Sometimes I feel like an animal in a zoo. People don’t even respect privacy, certainly not when they’re drunk. Then I will go into the station when they did this and that I will have to answer, he answers when he is asked how he felt after the incident.
However, the other two men say they did not recognize the rapper.
The man now charged has denied the allegations of assault, but admits minor drug offences.
A trial is expected this fall.
