Djurgården is said to be selling Mikael Anderson, 28.

According to Danish Tipsbladet, he is returning to AGF.

– Djurgården is doing the right thing here, says Pontus Wernbloom in Morgonklubben.

The Danish newspaper writes that Anderson and AGF Århus agree on a transfer for the Icelandic midfielder, who should already be in Denmark to undergo a medical examination.

In Sportbladet’s podcast Morgonklubben (listen below), Pontus Wernbloom and Alexander Axén paid tribute to the infamous transfer.

– I think it can be good for him, good for all parties, it’s a very skilled player, you have to take that with you, but if you can’t get the most out of it, it might be the right thing to go your separate ways, says Wernbloom.

– A lot depended on Bosse (Andersson), it was Bosse’s signing and he knows how to take players like this. It became unsustainable when Bosse quit, says Axén.

Wanted back

Anderson was recruited from AGF to Djurgården in the summer of 2025 and has himself expressed a desire to return.

According to Tipsbladet, he signs a long-term contract with the club.

AGF Århus is the reigning Danish league champion and will play in the Champions League qualifiers.
