Hammarby strengthens the offensive in the autumn.
Suwaibou Kebbeh, 19, is back at the club.
– It’s nice to be back, says the 19-year-old.
Suwaibou Kebbeh joined Hammarby and HTFF in the fall of 2025, but since March of this year has been on loan to the super-one team Gif Sundsvall. So now he is leaving Sundsvall and returning to Stockholm.
– The club wanted me back, it feels good. It gives me self-confidence… but I always have self-confidence, says Kebbeh to Sportbladet.
During the spring season, the Gambian scored three goals and one assist in 13 games in the superettan jumbo.
– I enjoyed myself there, it was a good environment. But it was Hammarby’s decision to take me back and it’s nice to be back.
Fierce competition awaits
Kebbeh joins an already well-stocked attacking lineup. In the center there are already Paulos Abraham, Elohim Kaboré and Nikola Vasic and also on the edges there are many options.
– We have looked a bit at what is best for him right now, but also what our needs are. So then we felt it was a good time to bring him back, says Kebbeh’s new coach Henrik Rydström, 50.
– He can both play nine, as he did in Sundsvall, but also on the edges. He is versatile. Now we’ll see if he can also deliver – and it doesn’t have to be in the form of goals and assists – like he did at lower levels.
Hammarby resumes the Allsvenskan season on Sunday, when an away match against Elfsborg awaits at 4:30 p.m. It will be Henrik Rydström’s first game in his new club.
