The Roskilde Festival is finished for this year and the surplus from 2014 of 26.7 million Danish kroner seems to be beaten, according to the organizer.
Swedish pop star Zara Larsson’s closing concert is celebrated.
“Approximately 140,000 people have partied, worked, lived and lived in the festival city. They have all contributed to the fact that the festival can now report a record surplus,” the organizers write in a press release.
Tickets for the festival sold out, which contributed to the probable record. An exact amount for this year’s surplus has not yet been reported, but the money will go to charitable purposes, according to the organizers.
High marks
Zara Larsson ended the festival on the orange stage and was praised. The Danish newspapers Politiken, BT and Soundvenue all gave the gig five out of six ratings. The latter newspaper wrote that “summer belongs to Zara Larsson”. BT’s reviewer writes that Larsson “proved what a fantastic singer she is” and P3’s reviewer calls the performance “the festival’s best pop concert”.
The newspaper Berlingske instead gave it a rating of three out of six. The reviewer thought the concert was too long and calls Zara Larsson more of a product than a personality.
