Windows 11 will receive a new update in the coming months under the name “26H2”, which is an update that adds a group of various features that Windows users have long awaited and have tried to access through several modifications and unofficial methods.

However, the new system will allow you to modify the system and achieve these things with ease without the need for difficult methods that required various skills from the users.

In this update, Microsoft is focusing on improving the performance of Windows 11, making it smoother, and providing more diverse customization options within the system, according to a report by the American technical website “PC Magazine.”

The report states that the company is currently focusing its efforts on Windows 11 without thinking about launching Windows 12 soon, despite the shift to artificial intelligence systems.

The new update for Windows 11 includes the following features:

Remove “Ping” from the startup menu

From the first moments of the launch of Windows 11, Microsoft added the search bar for its proprietary search engine, “Bing,” to the launch menu bar, and removing it required modifying the system registry or relying on external applications.

However, in its next update, the system allows removing the search bar for the “Bing” engine with ease through the system’s main settings menu, according to a report by the “BC Magazine” website.

The “Edge” browser integrated into the Windows 11 system depends on the Microsoft account in order to function primarily and provides its main features, starting from storing user data to synchronizing it when moving to another browser.

However, Microsoft now intends to allow synchronization of browser data directly using a Google account, a step that will facilitate the process of users moving between the Edge browser and Chrome.

Other small updates

The new update adds to Windows 11 the ability to modify and add mobile devices linked to the system directly through its main settings menu.

This means that the system recognizes devices and mobile phones as if they were peripheral devices that can be controlled directly from within the system, according to a report by the American technical website “Windows Central”.

The new update also allows you to control the size of the taskbar and its location on the screen, whether it is at the top or side of the screen.

This feature is one of the things that you would need special applications to benefit from and modify as you wish.

Microsoft is also renaming the page that allows you to control Xbox Mode to this name and abbreviating the old name, which was the Xbox Mode Settings Control Page, as part of updating the brand identity.

The company is adding a new set of customization options, according to the Windows Central report, and these features work to make the system smoother and more consistent, especially when using backgrounds of different colors.
