GOTHENBURG. Bamir Sadiku, 18, made a unique Allsvenskan debut.

One touch of the ball – one goal.

– It’s what you call a dream debut, says the Häcken talent.

The lanky striker was brought up at Häcken, where he started his football career as an eleven-year-old. After two years in Italian Bologna, he returned last winter to Hisingsklubben, and after six months in the P19 team, he signed a first-team contract this week. Against Djurgården, Bamir Sadiku had to make his Allsvenskan debut.

And it was a debut to remember. He came on in the 81st minute. Two minutes passed without him touching the ball. Then Julius Lindberg came around on the right wing, shot the ball towards the goal where Jacob Rinne pushed the ball straight out.

And on the return, with his first touch of the ball, Sadiku scored the equaliser.

– I didn’t have time to think much actually. I was just trying to get a touch on the ball. But it would have been even better if we had won, he says.

The goal meant 2-3 and that Häcken made contact again. But the hope was lowered soon after when Nino Zugelj headed in 2-4. That was the final score, and Sadiku did not touch the ball again before the final whistle.

If you score with your first, and only, contact with the ball. What then happens at the second ball contact?

– Haha, I hope it will be a goal again.
