US President Donald Trump will be present at the 2026 World Cup final scheduled for July 19 in New Jersey and will hand the cup to the winning team, according to what the President of the International Federation (FIFA) confirmed on Tuesday.
The twenty-third edition of the World Cup will be held in the United States, Mexico and Canada.

The US President did not even attend any match in the finals, which began on June 11.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino confirmed to the “Fox & Friends” program on the American “Fox” network that Trump would attend the final, saying, “We will be with the American president to enjoy the final and hand the cup to the winner, together of course,” adding, “We are together all the time.”
The decision to present the cup jointly comes in the wake of the controversy raised by the ceremony of handing over the Club World Cup to Chelsea, England, following its victory over Paris Saint-Germain, in New Jersey, last summer.
Trump handed the cup to Chelsea captain Reece James, but his failure to leave the podium led to his participation in the team’s celebrations, to the astonishment of the players.
