Ola Wenström, 59, has sold the luxury house in Spain.
And with that comes a substantial rain of money for the media profile.
– It’s absolutely fantastic! A record price in a class of its own, says broker Jimmy Widén.
Widén, who works at the agency 3SA Estate, does not want to give an exact price sum, but he says that the sum landed just below the starting price of SEK 19.4 million.
– We have managed to get well over 10,000 euros (110,000 Swedish kronor) per square meter. It is absolutely a price record per square meter ever in this area, so I am absolutely convinced that Ola and Lotta (Ola’s wife) are super happy, he tells Sportbladet.
“Almost 80-90 percent above the average price”
The area the house is located in is Sotogrande, about six miles from the Spanish luxury city of Marbella.
– The best areas in Marbella go for the same price per square meter so getting it in Sotogrande is almost 80-90 percent above the average price over there. It went very quickly too, the average length of time to sell a property on the Costa del Sol is eight to nine months and this one sold in two.
The luxury house in question is approximately 180 square meters (265 square meters including terraces) and has, among other things, a large private pool. The home was sold furnished and a total of 19 viewings were held at the property.

Will Wenströms look further in Spain now?
– Not right now, it seems that they have some other plans that are connected to work. I don’t know exactly what it was but they are super happy with the years down here and sometimes you want to make a change.
How did you celebrate the sale?
– We will do that tomorrow after the buyers have taken over. We’ll see how it turns out, but I’m hoping for a glass in the sun. Ola can invite, says Widén with a laugh.
