The French national team coach, Didier Deschamps, received painful news during his participation in the 2026 World Cup, which is the death of his mother, after the French Football Federation announced on Tuesday, which will force him to leave the “Roosters” camp and return to France to attend the funeral ceremony.
The French Federation confirmed in an official statement that Deschamps will miss the French national team’s third match in the group stage against Norway, scheduled for Friday, after an agreement with the President of the French Football Federation, Philippe Diallo.

The statement explained that the French coach entrusted the task of temporarily supervising the national team to his assistant Guy Stephan, who will assume leadership of the group until Deschamps returns.
