“A few years ago, my life looked very different,” she writes.

To the newer followers she has gained on Instagram, she introduces herself as, among other things, a mother of three boys, an actor, a painter and “just another person who is just now learning that life rarely goes according to plan”.
“A few years ago, my life looked very different. Since then, I’ve navigated life as a single mother (the best thing I’ve ever done, by the way!!), rebuilt everything from scratch, discovered new passions, rediscovered old ones, and learned that life is really mostly about trying your way,” she writes.

She also writes that her life is a total mixture of chaos, creativity, motherhood, painting, “questionable life decisions”, exercise, wine, chocolate and sporadic attempts to pretend that she has full control of the situation.
“Spoiler: I really haven’t. But I’ll figure it out along the way.”
Ciara Janson also tells the answer to the most common question she gets, namely how to pronounce her first name.
