An 18-year-old man who is accused of over 70 crimes connected to the sadistic online sect 764 must undergo a forensic psychiatric examination, writes Aftonbladet.

The investigation must answer whether the man can be sentenced to prison or whether he must receive forensic psychiatric care in the event of a conviction. The decision was made by the Umeå district court on Monday. The trial is expected to resume in August.

The man is singled out as a leader within 764, an extremist and violent network founded in 2021 by the American Bradley Cadenhead.

The 18-year-old is suspected of, among other things, three attempted murders, incitement to suicide, rape, aggravated exploitation of children for sexual posing, aggravated child pornography and aggravated animal cruelty. The crimes are said to have been committed online and there are victims in several countries.
