Manchester City have reached a final agreement to sign Nottingham Forest midfielder Elliot Anderson in a club-record deal worth £116 million (about $153 million).

The 23-year-old player is scheduled to undergo medical examinations before officially completing the transfer.

Nottingham Forest had rejected two previous offers before agreeing to the third, while the club is seeking to compensate for Anderson’s departure by signing names such as Lukas Bergvall and Davide Fratesi.

This transfer comes as the culmination of a remarkable career for Anderson, who joined Forest in 2024 from Newcastle for 35 million pounds sterling (about 46 million dollars), where he played 88 matches in which he scored four goals, and contributed to the team’s qualification for European competitions.
