The Kremlin claims that Russian forces have captured the eastern Ukrainian town of Kostiantynivka, which is a junction where roads to several cities, such as Kramatorsk and Slovyansk, meet.
– The city is now completely under our control, says Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.
Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared in uniform before his general staff in a televised appearance and thanked Russian soldiers after the alleged capture, saying it was of “great strategic importance”.
