Pelle Svanslös gets a new “master”.
The company CoStudios has bought the rights to Gösta Knutsson’s classic children’s book about the kind-hearted cat, writes Dagens Nyheter.
In an interview with the newspaper, the CEO promises Victor Linnell “quality content”, but does not exclude AI tools.
– We have nothing against technology. The important thing for us is to use it in a way that allows us to maintain quality and work height.
2025 bought Camilla Läckberg the rights to Pelle Tailless and wrote two new books about the cat. Now she is no longer one of the rights holders – but Linnell does not want to comment on which authors and illustrators manage the legacy further.
CoStudios also has the rights to, among others Ginger and Lasse Sandbergs children’s figures.
