Former Swedish star Zlatan Ibrahimovic praised the performance of the French national team in its 3-0 victory over Sweden in the 2026 World Cup, considering that the Roosters’ front line is one of the strongest in the world.
Ibrahimovic said, in statements to Fox Sports, that he has not yet noticed any weakness in the French national team, noting that every player in the attack is capable of deciding matches on his own.

The Swedish star singled out Michael Olisey for great praise, despite not scoring in the match, stressing that he has a vision in playmaking that differs even from his teammates Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappe.
He said that Olissi sees spaces and opportunities that others do not notice, despite Dembele and Mbappe having different artistic characteristics.
Three of the top five players
Ibrahimovic considered that three of the five best players in the world are currently active in the French national team’s attack, referring to Dembele, Olisey and Mbappe, adding to them Erling Haaland and Lamin Yamal, while Lionel Messi was described as being in a special category.
He added that what distinguishes this French trio is not only their individual talent, but their ability to play collectively and work without the ball, which makes them more dangerous.
The Swedish star stressed that combining three strikers of this size is not an easy matter, citing the experience of Paris Saint-Germain when it included Mbappe, Messi and Neymar, explaining that this trio did not reach complete harmony, while it seems that the French strikers do not put individual considerations above the interest of the team.
Ibrahimovic concluded his speech by saying that this French team is scary, in reference to the great potential it has to continue the journey towards the World Cup title.
