Yan Diomande, 19, is one of the World Cup’s most sought-after players.
Now the Ivorian is said to have made his choice.
Diomande opts out of Liverpool, according to The Athletic.
Pretty much every top European club has been reported to be interested in Yan Diomande, since the winger in the previous season scored twelve goals and eight assists in the Bundesliga for his RB Leipzig.
Diomande is currently playing at the World Cup with Ivory Coast – which only seems to have made the interest even greater.
Earlier in June, Leipzig was reported to have nobbed a bid of 1.1 billion kroner from Liverpool, who have appeared to be in the driver’s seat to secure the signing of Diomande.
Now, however, The Athletics journalist David Ornstein states that the 19-year-old is opting out of the Premier League club.
“Yan Diomande chooses Paris Saint-Germain as his next destination if he leaves RB Leipzig this summer,” writes Ornstein at X.
According to Ornstein, Diomande should believe in PSG’s “project” and sees the club giving him a chance to win titles and the Ballon d’Or.
It remains to be seen whether an offensively packed PSG will make a bid for the winger – and whether Leipzig will accept it.
