The aspirations and fortunes of the two teams
Both Egypt and Iran remain unbeaten after two rounds of World Cup group stage matches, and both have a golden chance to qualify for the knockout rounds for the first time.
The Egyptian national team achieved its first victory in its history in the World Cup when it defeated New Zealand in the last round and has 4 points at the top of the group.
Mohamed Salah’s teammates are looking for a new victory that will secure their lead, but a draw is enough to qualify for the next round, and the loss of Hossam Hassan’s battalion may also make him qualify among the best three.
