A 17-year-old boy in Växjö is convicted of raping a woman with an intellectual disability. He contacted her when she broadcast live on social media, Smålandsposten writes.
He is also convicted of aggravated assault after a violent attack during a party in Växjö municipality in October 2025, reports P4 Kronoberg.
The punishment will be ten months of closed youth care and he must also pay approximately SEK 320,000 in damages to the two crime victims.
The prosecutor had also wanted to see him deported, but the district court states that he has lived in Sweden all his life. The court does not consider that it is “indispensably necessary that he be expelled for reasons of public safety”.
