One person has died in connection with a rescue operation on Lake Vättern.
The police are investigating the incident as a suspected serious crime.
Two people who were out on a boat in Askersund, south of Örebro, were reported missing on Wednesday morning. The police later found the boat and made contact with one of the people.
One of them was taken to hospital by ambulance helicopter. At 2 p.m., the police wrote on their website that the person had died.
A person has been detained and must be heard. The police are currently investigating the incident as a suspected serious crime.
– We are working intensively to create a clearer picture of what happened. We carry out several investigative measures. The classification is fluid. There are unclear circumstances that mean we have to investigate the case as a serious crime, says police spokesperson Sara Fritz.
