The summer heat is taking hold of Europe – after the heat wave in France and Spain, the temperature is expected to rise in Sweden as well.
– It can be over 30 degrees in some parts of the country, says Erik Höjgård-Olsen, meteorologist at SMHI.
After a sunny and warm midsummer weekend in large parts of the country, it will be a little cooler in the coming days. But those who like high temperatures need not despair, it is believed that the heat will return in just a few days.
– There is a high pressure from the south that will reach southern Sweden on Thursday and will last at least the rest of the week, says Erik Höjgård-Olsen.
It is above all in the south-eastern parts of the country where it can get really hot with temperatures of just over 30 degrees.
– In the rest of Götaland and Svealand it will be just over 25 degrees, while Norrland’s coast and inland get temperatures just over 20 degrees, says Erik Höjgård-Olsen
