Sir David Beckham, 51, has appeared in several commercials for the World Cup.
He reportedly earns hundreds of millions of kroner from it.
Beckham never won the World Cup as a player, but as a marketer he has made a big profit at the 2026 World Cup.
In television broadcasts from the championship, Beckham is frequently seen during the commercial breaks. Among other things, he is the face of McDonald’s hamburgers and fries and he highlights the excellence of Lays chips together with his football colleagues Lionel Messi and Thierry Henry.
In addition, he does advertising for the beer brand Stella Artois, for Bank of America and for the American retail company Home Depot.
Earning 24 million
The Sun reports that market analysts have now estimated that Beckham will pull in approximately 19 million pounds – 241 million kroner – from the commercials shown during the World Cup.
“Brands partner with Beckham because he is trustworthy and easy to recognise”writes the industry watchdog Marketing Made Clear.
The million rain over Beckham means that a rich man’s fortune is getting even bigger. When The Sunday Times listed Britain’s richest people earlier this year it became clear that the Beckham couple, Sir David and Victoria, have become pound billionaires.
