Another person has had a nosebleed at the steel giant SSAB’s construction site on Svartön in Luleå. Work on part of the site has been suspended.
An employee of a subcontractor had a nosebleed on Thursday morning. According to SSAB’s new procedures, the person had to see the occupational health service directly, reports Norrbottens-Kuriren.
In addition, work at the site was suspended.
– We have not paused the entire work, on the other hand it is standing still where that particular person was working, says Martin Gidlund, communications manager at SSAB, to the newspaper.
It is unclear when work can resume again.
Since the turn of the year, over 30 cases of illness have occurred on the construction site.
On April 3, work was completely stopped. According to SSAB, measurements did not show any levels above the applicable limit values and in May work was resumed in places where no cases have been reported.
