Two Swedish teams will qualify for the women’s Champions League this summer.

Now it is clear who they get to meet.

An Italian giant is possibly waiting for Hammarby.

Hammarby and Malmö FF both enter the second qualifying round for the Champions League – where “mini-tournaments” await. There, Hammarby will first face Albanian KFF Apolonia, and if they advance from that meeting, a final awaits against the winner between Portuguese Torreense and Italian giants Juventus.

Malmö FF has a significantly closer opponent in the semi-finals, in the form of Norwegian Vålerenga. Should MFF win against the Norwegians, either German Frankfurt or Cypriot Omonia Nicosia await in the final.

The semi-finals will be played on August 5 and the final – as well as the match for third place – will be played on August 8.

The teams that win their final advance to the third round of Champions League qualification. That round is decided in the form of a doubleheader which is decided on August 26 and September 2.

BK Häcken are directly qualified for the Champions League thanks to their victory in the European Cup – where they defeated Hammarby in the final.
