The Pope arrived in Madrid at the same time as another great: the Puerto Rican star Bad Bunny.
Now the Vatican confirms that the two also met.
According to NME, the private meeting took place on Monday at the large Santiago Bernabéu stadium, before the Pope addressed around 80,000 people.
According to RTVE had Bad Bunny’s employee contacted church representatives in Spain to see if a meeting could be arranged. Bad Bunny met the Pope together with “several family members” but no pictures have been released.
On board the papal plane to Madrid, the Pope stated that most young people in Madrid would probably choose to see Bad Bunny instead of the Pope.
– But I think there will also be some here to see the Pope. And that says something, you know, he said.
