French President Emmanuel Macron expected champion Paris Saint-Germain to win against its German guest, Bayern Munich, 3-1, before the first leg of the semi-final of the Champions League on Tuesday.
The president stated, in response to questions from students in a school during a visit to the Principality of Andorra, “I am a fan of Marseille, but tonight Paris Saint-Germain is playing, so I am supporting Paris Saint-Germain!”
He confirmed, “I think they will win 3-1!! 3-1!!.”
When asked: Is it possible to win the final as well? He hinted, “It is never settled, but they are a great team, yes!”
Macron added, “And I think we have a great French team as well (for the World Cup). I have confidence in (coach) Didier Deschamps.”
