Newcastle United left-back Tino Livramento may miss the rest of the current season due to a thigh injury, which threatens his place in the England national football team during the upcoming World Cup.
Liveramento is considered a key player – when he is physically fit – in the England national team squad led by German coach Thomas Tuchel this season, due to his ability to play in the right and left back positions.

Liveramento suffered what Newcastle coach Eddie Howe described today, Friday, as a “serious injury” during the team’s 2-1 loss to Bournemouth last weekend, and he has already undergone an initial examination.
Howe said: “He is scheduled to undergo another examination at the end of this week to determine the exact length of his absence. We will wait to see whether he will play again this season or not.”
The current English Premier League season ends on May 24, and the final list for the England national team participating in the World Cup must be submitted by the 30th of the same month.
Tuchel ignores Arnold
Reece James, the English Chelsea player, appears to be the first choice for the right-back position, but he is currently injured, while Tuchel is ignoring Trent Alexander-Arnold, the Spanish Real Madrid player.
On the other hand, Kyle Walker, the English player for Burnley, retired from international football last March.
Thus, Jarel Konsah and Ezri Konsah, who are originally defenders, stand out among the remaining possible options for the right-back position, as well as Ben White, who was not a regular player at Arsenal.
The 2026 World Cup begins next June 11, and will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico.
The draw placed the England team, seeking to win the World Cup for the second time after winning it in 1966, in Group 12 in the group stage of the tournament, along with the teams of Croatia, Ghana and Panama.
