There will be no Wimbledon for Emma Raducanu, 23.
She is forced to throw in the towel the day before the start.

The Brit has sustained a stress fracture in her right leg. After being x-rayed, it is clear that there will be no Wimbledon games this year.
She talks about the feelings in a post on Instagram.
“I’ve done everything I can to get to the start tomorrow, but a final x-ray in the evening shows a stress fracture and I’ve been advised not to fight through it.”writes Raducanu.
“Playing Wimbledon, in front of the home crowd, means everything to me, so this is very hard to process.”
In the days before the tournament, Raducanu has been seen with a guard over his foot. At first it appeared to be just a small blemish but it turned out to be a stress fracture that stops her from playing in the prestigious tournament.
Wimbledon is played June 29–July 12.
