In the song “Eurosummer” Zara Larsson is joined by Shakira.
Now Larsson reveals that they recorded a music video together – but which was never released because it didn’t measure up.
– It didn’t turn out so well, says Zara Larsson on the British radio channel Capital FM.
“Eurosummer” is the sixth track on Zara Larsson’s album “Midnight sun: Girls trip”, which is guested by several world artists.
On the radio channel Capital FM now tells Larsson that she “loves” the song she made with Shakirabut that the music video didn’t quite turn out the way she had imagined.
– It didn’t turn out so well. And I don’t think it’s anybody’s fault – I know it’s nobody’s fault. She is a mega icon. A legend, says Zara Larsson.
The Swedish superstar does not go into any details about why she is dissatisfied with the result. She simply felt it didn’t measure up and explains that she thinks Shakira deserves a “really good” music video.
“Didn’t just want to release it to feed my ego”
– I didn’t just want to release it to feed my ego and be able to say: “I have a video with Shakira”, even though I was very close to doing that, says Larsson.
Zara Larsson does not reveal whether the star duo will make another attempt. However, she says that she is “incredibly honored” to have Shakira on the album.
“Midnight Sun: Girls Trip” was released in May and is a new release of Zara Larsson’s previous album “Midnight Sun”. The disc also has names such as Robyn, Pink Pantheress and Madison Beer.
