Ukraine and Russia are said to have exchanged 185 prisoners of war each.
“185 Russian soldiers have been repatriated from territory controlled by Kiev,” the Ministry of Defense in Moscow announced on Friday, according to the state news agency Ria.
In return, an equal number of Ukrainian prisoners of war have been handed over, it says.
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky wrote late Thursday on X that his country was ready for a prisoner exchange.
The countries have exchanged thousands of prisoners of war during the more than four-year full-scale war of aggression.
