The joy of matches in team sports in general, and football in particular, is embodied in the intensity of competition between two teams exchanging attacks, which constitutes a real test of the extent of their effectiveness on the front line and the solidity of their defense in the back line at the same time.
However, football tournaments, especially the World Cup, were not devoid of matches many times that witnessed a remarkable abundance of goals. The reason is often the strength of one team at the expense of the other, and it is rarely the result of a dispute between them.
Since its appearance in the 1930 edition, the World Cup has witnessed a number of matches in which many goals were scored, which would not be surprising if it were repeated again in the next World Cup (2026), due to the participation of 48 teams, some of which are participating for the first time against heavy-caliber teams such as Curacao, for example, which was drawn to face Germany in Group Five.
