The Qatari Emiri Diwan reported that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, received – today, Friday – a phone call from US President Donald Trump in which they discussed developments in the ceasefire with Iran.
The Qatari Emiri Diwan explained that during the call, the latest developments in the regional situation were reviewed, especially the developments in the ceasefire agreement between the United States of America and the Islamic Republic of Iran, and the international efforts aimed at consolidating it, in addition to discussing the repercussions of the situation on the security of maritime navigation and global supply chains.
He added that the Emir of Qatar, Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, stressed the need to reduce tension and support peaceful solutions, stressing the State of Qatar’s continued coordination with regional and international partners to support the mediation efforts made by the Islamic Republic of Pakistan, which contributes to enhancing security and stability in the region.
