The Ministry of Electricity, Water and Renewable Energy in Kuwait announced today, Wednesday, the restoration of electricity to all residential areas affected by the power outage, after completing the work of recharging the electrical network.
The ministry said, in a statement, that power had returned to all affected areas “after completing the restoration work from the electrical network,” confirming that the impact of the malfunction on residential areas had ended.

The Ministry had previously announced that a number of overhead electric transmission lines were out of service, leading to a power outage in various areas of the country.
She added that the emergency teams began their work immediately after the malfunction occurred, “in implementation of the approved emergency plan, to determine the causes of the outage and follow up on the situation,” without explaining the reasons for the lines being out of service.
In a related context, the Bahrain News Agency reported that the Electricity and Water Authority dealt with a limited power outage in several areas in the Kingdom, noting that service was fully restored to all affected areas after the defect was addressed.
The authorities in both Kuwait and Bahrain did not issue any indications of additional impacts or continuation of outages after service was restored.
