All leaders at the NATO summit in Ankara each received a revolver with their name engraved as a gift from Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson (M) will bring his home – with a little delay.
Ulf Kristersson will receive the gift, says his press manager Hanna Strömberg to Expressen.
“But it must come to Sweden in orderly forms,” she writes in a text message to the newspaper.
“It will not be taken to Sweden until all permits and papers are in order,” she writes further.
For the time being, it is kept at the Swedish Embassy in Ankara. There is no picture of the weapon, she states.
According to British Prime Minister Keir Starmer, a box of ammunition was also included in the gift. However, he says he cannot take the gift home, due to Britain’s strict gun laws.
