The new ball features a design dominated by gold, in reference to the World Cup model, with a black and white base, in an attempt to embody the value of the final matches of the largest edition in the history of the tournament.
Adidas explained that the ball’s design is based on an advanced structure that focuses on enhancing performance on the field, in addition to incorporating the latest technologies used in major tournaments.
Techniques to support arbitration
Triunda Final is equipped with advanced technology that allows accurate and immediate data to be sent to the refereeing crews, which helps speed up decision-making during matches, in addition to providing detailed information that contributes to analyzing the course of the game.
This technology comes as an extension of the use of smart balls that rely on electronic sensors to provide real-time data during matches.
The ball’s design celebrates all 16 cities hosting the 2026 World Cup.
The cities of Dallas, Atlanta, Miami and New York/New Jersey feature mainly on the design, as hosts of the final round matches, while Boston, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Monterrey, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto and Vancouver appear among the triangular graphic elements that adorn the ball.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino commented on the launch of the new ball, saying, “The adoption of the Triunda Final Ball for the final four matches of the World Cup fully embodies the spirit of unity and passion that brings together the host countries, which are Canada, Mexico and the United States.”
He added that the ball “will be under the feet of the best players in the world in the most important matches of the tournament, and it will also immortalize the names of the 16 cities that contributed to organizing the historic twenty-third edition of the World Cup.”
