Samir Nasri, 39, was arrested by French police.

The ex-star is linked to criminal networks.

And the “Wild Boar”.

Nasri has been troubled since he ended his football career. Earlier this spring, he was in a legal dispute with French authorities and was suspected of tax fraud.

Now he is instead connected to a criminal network led by Hakim “Wild Pig” Berrebouh. According to Le Parisien Nasri was arrested by police earlier this week and questioned regarding involvement in suspected drug importation, conspiracy and money laundering linked to organized crime.

The reason is that the former Arsenal and Manchester City star is a co-owner of the XS nightclub in Ivry-sur-Seine in northern France. The nightclub is suspected of being a tool for “organized money laundering” because large sums of money were withdrawn from there between 2021 and 2023.

Nasri was then released late Thursday night without charge.

Berrebouh and Nasri both grew up in Marseille and have known each other since then. Berrebouh has been in prison since 2021 for drug trafficking.

According to Le Parisien, Nasri claims that he is innocent and that he should have sold his share of the nightclub to the “Wild Boar”.

Nasri has spent most of his career in the Premier League and has made 41 caps for France. He ended his career in 2021.
