Kylie Minogue has received an apology from Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese after making inappropriate comments about the pop star in a podcast.
“I apologize unreservedly for the comments,” writes Albanian in a written statement on Monday.
It was in a comedy podcast last week that the Prime Minister was asked to choose from a few Australian entertainment profiles whom he could imagine “sleeping with, marrying, or dating”. At first the Prime Minister tried to avoid answering the question, but finally gave in.
“Oh, Kylie, of course,” he said.
“You would marry Kylie, sleep with her, or date her?”, asked the presenter Nikki Osborne to which Albanese retorted “All of the above”.
The statements were quickly criticized, with one MP describing them as ill-judged.
