An Israeli occupation force penetrated the Yarmouk Basin area in the western countryside of Daraa on Monday, while another Israeli force established a temporary checkpoint on the outskirts of the village of Sidon Al-Golan in the southern countryside of Quneitra.

The “Syria Now” correspondent said that an Israeli force, consisting of two troop carriers, penetrated into the Jamla Company (Al-Wadi Company) in the Yarmouk Basin area, coming from the gate of Tal Abu Al-Ghaithar.

In parallel, the Syrian News Agency (SANA) said that an Israeli force, consisting of three military vehicles, penetrated into Sidon, the Golan, and then headed to the Al-Hanout area, where they arrested two people and conducted an investigation with them.

These incursions come days after Israeli artillery shells targeted agricultural areas between the villages of Buriqa and Kudna in the southern Quneitra countryside, causing material damage but no casualties.

Last May 23, an occupation force established a military checkpoint at the Sidon-Golan village junction, supported by five military vehicles.

In recent months, the regions of southern Syria have witnessed an escalation in Israeli operations, including field incursions, arrests, and the establishment of temporary checkpoints inside some border areas.

Syria condemns the continued Israeli occupation attacks on its territory, and considers them a violation of the disengagement agreement, which Israel announced its collapse and occupied the buffer zone after the fall of the Assad regime.

After the fall of the Assad regime in December 2024, Israel announced that it did not consider the 1974 Separation of Forces Agreement valid, before expanding its military movements within the buffer zone on the border with Syria.
