The unsettled weather continues for a few more days – then summer will return.
On Sunday, SMHI issued a yellow warning for torrential rain in eastern Svealand and southernmost Gävleborg county. Even in central Norrland there is a yellow warning for large amounts of rain that extends from Sunday afternoon to Monday morning.
– It will be quite wet in many places. The weather that has been for a period continues now and low pressure and unstable weather conditions are expected for the first half of next week as well. But it is quite varied during the days. Both sun and showers occur, says Linus Karlsson, meteorologist at SMHI.
But from Thursday onwards, a high pressure will come in from the southwest.
– It brings slightly warmer air. The uncertainty is, of course, how far north it stretches. But at the moment it looks like we also have temperatures approaching the 25-degree mark in the north. And in the southern half of the country just over the 25-degree mark.
The warmer period seems to be able to extend into the second half of next week, according to Linus Karlsson.
