Cape Verde goalkeeper, Fosinha, established himself as one of the most prominent stars of the 2026 World Cup, after leading his country to a historic achievement with his remarkable brilliance, especially in the match against Spain, during which he made eight saves.

As for the nickname “Fosinha”, for which he became famous later, he has a funny story dating back to his childhood, when he used to run to his grandparents after every match in which he did not perform well to complain to them about what happened, so the family members began calling him “Fosinha”, which is a Portuguese word that means “grandmother”, before this nickname turned into the name by which football fans knew him.
