Max Eberl, Member of the Board of Directors for Sports Affairs at Bayern Munich, said: “We are pleased to sign Nathaniel Brown, who has achieved very rapid development, but still has great potential and is considered a player for the future.”

He added: “He left his mark in the World Cup and proved why we have been following him for a while. He will give us additional options, whether in the defense or midfield.”

Last Wednesday, Bayern Munich announced its contract with Moroccan striker Ismail Sibari, the star of the Moroccan national team in the World Cup, coming from PSV Eindhoven.

The two German League clubs did not reveal the financial details of the Brown transfer deal, but media reports indicated that the value of the deal amounted to about 55 million euros (about 63 million dollars), while it was said that Eintracht Frankfurt was initially demanding more than 60 million euros.

Brown said: “Bayern Munich is one of the best clubs in the world. Having the opportunity to play for this club means a lot to me and fills me with pride. I also come from Bavaria, which makes it even more special. I have always dreamed of competing for the biggest titles and at the highest levels.”

The deal was terminated after the German national team’s early exit from the World Cup after a surprise loss to Paraguay last Monday.

Brown, who joined the German national team last season, returned to participate in the starting lineup in the match that the German national team lost, after missing the team’s last match in the group stage against Ecuador due to an connective muscle injury. Brown had good performances in the group stage matches against Curaçao and Côte d’Ivoire.

The player was scheduled to undergo a mandatory medical examination on the sidelines of the World Cup in the United States, but he underwent it this week in Munich.

Bayern Munich was looking to sign a new left-back after the departure of Rafael Guerrero, in addition to the repeated injuries to Alphonso Davies.
