Medical sources in the Gaza Strip reported that 3 Palestinians were killed by Israeli occupation fire, today, Saturday, while the occupation forces carried out massive bombing operations on buildings in the south of the Strip.
Ambulance crews recovered the bodies of two Palestinians who were martyred in the town of Beit Lahia, north of the Gaza Strip, as Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that several areas in the town were subjected to artillery shelling and gunfire by the occupation forces.
A source at the Baptist Hospital also reported that one person was killed and others were injured in an Israeli drone raid on the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood, southeast of Gaza City.
Earlier today, the Ministry of Health in the Gaza Strip announced that the Strip’s hospitals received 16 martyrs and 16 injured during the past 48 hours, in light of the continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement in force since October 2025.
The Ministry explained in a statement that the toll of the new martyrs is divided into 7 martyrs (6 who died as a result of bombing and gunfire, and one martyr affected by his injury), in addition to 9 martyrs whose bodies were recovered from under the rubble.
The Israeli army’s violations of the ceasefire agreement continue to be monitored in various areas of the Gaza Strip, and according to ministry data, the death toll resulting from these violations alone has reached 1,066 martyrs and 3,445 injured.

Detonation operations
The occupation forces carried out large-scale bombing and explosion operations that affected residential buildings in the eastern and northeastern areas of the city of Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip. Al Jazeera’s correspondent reported that the bombing operations included buildings within the areas under the control of the occupation forces in the town of Bani Suhaila, east of the city.
These operations took place in conjunction with intense flights of Israeli warplanes at low altitudes in the western airspace of the city.
In the south of the Gaza Strip, Israeli artillery bombed the northwestern areas of the city of Rafah, and the occupation forces also fired lighting bombs in the western parts of the city.
As for Gaza City, Israeli tanks fired intense fire towards the Al-Tuffah neighborhood, east of the city, coinciding with artillery shelling targeting the same neighborhood.
The death toll from the genocidal war waged by Israel on the Gaza Strip since October 2023 has risen to 73,90 martyrs and 173,553 injured.
It is noteworthy that the current ceasefire agreement came two years after the genocidal war that began on October 7, 2023, which left widespread destruction affecting 90% of the civilian infrastructure in the Strip, amid international estimates that the cost of reconstruction exceeds 70 billion dollars.
