St. Louis Blues have announced their new general manager.

It is Swedish Alexander Steen, 42, who gets the job.

Steen has a long and successful history in St. Louis Blues. As a player, there were 765 matches in the club and most as assistant team captain.

He was part of the incredible 2018/2019 season. The Blues were last in the table at the beginning of January but still managed to win their first and so far only Stanley Cup in the spring.

For the past two seasons, Steen has been a special advisor to the general manager and now he is the twelfth general manager in St. The History of Louis Blues.

He takes over from Doug Armstrong, who remains with the club as president of hockey operations.

St. Louis Blues missed the playoffs this season by four points.
