The hero Erling Braut Haaland, 25, and the team celebrated with the viral rowing rhyme.

Norway knocked out the Ivory Coast and won for the first time a knock-out game in the World Cup.

Sometimes it is necessary to “just” stand in the right place.

That’s exactly what Erling Braut Haaland did when he made it 2-1 in the 86th minute and sent Norway through to the World Cup.

The Ivory Coast completely lost Haaland inside the penalty area and he was served an open goal by Patrick Berg. Although the 25-year-old still came close to squandering the chance, he scored his fifth World Cup goal.

The two other goals in the round of 16 were much nicer. Antonio Nusa screwed Norway’s lead goal high at the far post.

To celebrate the goal

The equalizer came after Amad Diallo dribbled past the Norwegian defense inside the penalty area.

Former Premier League midfielder Danny Murphy was very impressed.

– Look at Amad Diallo’s footwork and composure. For me, this is the goal of the tournament so far, says the expert in BBC.

For Norway, Brazil awaits in the round of 16. The match will be played on Sunday 22.00, Swedish time.
