This fall, he makes his acting debut in a French romance film – about tennis.
Romeo Beckhamson of David and Victoria Beckham, makes his first film role in “Forty Love”, a film about a gay tennis romance, which opens in cinemas in France on November 25, writes PinkNews.
The film revolves around tennis star Sacha Gallo, played by the French actor Paul Kircher24, who is training with his father to win a major tournament in Paris. When Romeo’s character appears as a new, charismatic rival, everything Sacha thinks he knows about competition, ambition – and himself, is shaken, according to Variety.
The rivalry between the players quickly turns into something more intimate. In the film’s synopsis, it is described that Sacha for the first time meets an “adversary of a completely different kind: love”.
Romeo Beckham has both football and tennis behind him. In the mid-2010s, he briefly invested in tennis and then trained with, among other things Andy Murray, before returning to football in 2020. He has also modeled for many years for fashion giants such as Yves Saint Laurent and Balenciaga.
