Two people with home care services died in their homes shortly after being discharged from hospital. None of them got help at night and now Lex Sarah reports the events to the City of Landskrona.

– Something has happened so that the need for support has not been translated into an aid decision, says Annette Lindberg Mohlin (L), chairman of the care committee, to Skånes Folkblad.

In both cases, hospitals and nursing staff had announced that there was a great need for night-time supervision in the home. But help was not forthcoming, both people fell and died shortly afterwards.

Lindberg Mohlin says that there are “structural problems” within Landskrona’s home service.

– There has been a culture of silence and now we are turning over every stone.

Landskrona has previously reported itself after two other deaths. In those cases, staff had taken more than two hours to respond to the security alarm.
