Landskrona BoIS is up and running.
On Monday, they beat the top team Varberg in a very swinging clash.
The match ended 3–2 to the black and white.
Varberg’s BoIS, third in the table, looked to have the league lead in their hands when before the match they were only two points behind league leader Norrköping, with one less game played than the Östgötarna.
But the plan fell apart – and instead it is now Landskrona BoIS who are listed for five straight games without a loss.
Double setback before half time
The black and white showed right from the start that they intended to invite a fight.
Eight minutes into the match, Adam Egnell was able to open the scoring after Constantin Capotondi drove into the penalty area and then passed the ball on to his attacking colleague.
From there, it was not entirely painless for the Scanias who, despite their early lead goal, found themselves at a disadvantage at half-time – with Varberg’s Shanyder Borgelin and Edvin Tellgren each scoring a goal.
Reversal – again
But the head was kept cool and in the second half it was instead Landkrona who held the baton and could, like Varberg did, turn the result in their favor.
First from a free kick where Edi Sylisufaj found the net, with the help of a control in the wall, and then through Constantin Capotondi who elegantly received a high ball on the edge before drifting into the penalty area and placing the ball in the far corner.
Minutes later, the scoreboard would also have shown another goal for the Skåningar when Varberg goalkeeper Oscar Ekman missed a backward pass that clearly slipped over the goal line – but which did not give anything to the black and white team.
The result means that Landskrona now moves up to fourth place, four points ahead of league leader Norrköping.
