The verbal feud between US President Donald Trump and Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni continues as Trump attacks Meloni in yet another statement.
In a post on Truth Social, Donald Trump repeats his claim that Italy’s Giorgia Meloni begged and asked to be photographed with him at the G7 meeting in France earlier this week.
In the post, he elaborates on his attack on the Italian leader, saying that “she couldn’t even let us use some of Italy’s airstrips,” referring to the US attack on Iran. Meloni is accused of wanting to show off a rekindled friendship with him. “No thanks!!!”, writes Trump.
Meloni has denied claims about the photo, saying that neither she nor Italy “ever beg”. Italy’s foreign minister canceled a planned US visit due to the dispute.
