France has entered a heatwave, as the mercury climbs into the high thirties across parts of the country – up to ten degrees higher than normal for the time of year – with an orange level heat alert declared in twenty-six departments in central and eastern France, leaving people and businesses taking steps to handle the heat as best they can. Among them, schools have put measures into effect to protect their children.
