Sanctions against Iran’s crude oil exports are to be eased. It is said to be part of the settlement between Iran and the United States in the attempts to reach a peace agreement.

The price of oil fell further when the information became known.

The US financial newspaper Wall Street Journal stated on Tuesday that US targeted sanctions against Iran’s oil exports will be partially lifted.

Neither the United States nor Iran have commented in detail on the deal to be signed in Switzerland on Friday.

Sanctions aimed at Iran’s transport industry and economic transactions are also to be reduced in scope, according to the newspaper. The decision on oil sanctions is to be implemented immediately and would mean a financial boost for Iran.
