SD’s subsidiary has deducted costs for income from a previous company, reports TV4’s Kalla fakta. It is about invoices of 100,000 kroner which have reduced the tax for the company.

Patrik Emblad, lecturer in financial law at the University of Gothenburg, tells TV4 that the procedure is not allowed.

– If you have a company that is formed but not registered, then costs and income can be attributed to that company for tax purposes. But before its formation, it doesn’t work, says Patrik Emblad.

SD leader Bo Broman, member of the Riksdag and chairman of the Riksbank plenipotentiary, has been involved in the scheme. He was previously SD’s financial manager and is also said to have dated an invoice of over SEK 300,000 on an incorrect date, according to Kalla fakta.

SD has declined to comment, citing that “they are in an ongoing legal process against one of Kalla fakta’s whistleblowers”, according to TV4.
